Turn your PNG or SVG into embroidery files

StitchConvert automatically digitizes PNG or SVG artwork into embroidery files. Upload your design, map thread colors, and preview the stitches, then pay $4.99 to download a ZIP containing both .pes and .dst. No embroidery digitizing software required.

How it works

  1. Upload your PNG or SVG: drop your design and pick your hoop size.
  2. Map thread colors: review and adjust the colors detected in your design.
  3. Preview stitches: see stitch count, thread list, and sew-time estimate before you pay.
  4. Pay and download: get a ZIP with both .pes and .dst when you're happy with the preview.

What artwork works best

StitchConvert works best with solid shapes and flat colors. Think bold graphic prints, not fine pencil sketches.

What to avoid

These patterns often produce messy stitch files: tiny regions, constant trims, or details that do not hold on fabric.

Common questions

What files can I use?

PNG and SVG only. JPG and other formats are not supported. If you only have a JPG, see our image guidelines for how to convert it. For photos or complex artwork, a clean SVG export often gives the best results.

What file formats do I get when I pay?

Every paid download is a ZIP with both .pes and .dst files. You always receive both formats in one ZIP, not one or the other.

How much does it cost?

Each download (PES + DST ZIP) is $4.99. You can preview your stitches before paying so you know exactly what you're getting.

What type of images work best?

Bold, flat-color artwork with solid filled shapes: icons, mascots, monograms, patches, and simple illustrations. Embroidery machines stitch solid regions of thread, so think graphic prints, not fine pencil sketches. Photos, gradients, tiny separate shapes, thin strokes, and very small text usually convert poorly. See our image guidelines for examples.

Do I need digitizing experience?

No. Upload your PNG or SVG, map colors, preview the stitches, and download your PES + DST ZIP. See our image guidelines for tips on preparing artwork that converts well.

Can I use this on Windows and Mac?

Yes. StitchConvert runs in your web browser. No software to install.
